The walk starts with a briefing orientation from Uganda Wildlife Authority Rangers and then it is off onto the trail into the jungle of Chimpanzees. Exploring Kibale forest at night is very rewarding experience as you watch nocturnal animals moving around such as Tree Hyrax, nightjar and cricket, with its chilling shriek, as well as the occasional civet or serval cat and with the presence of Pottos and abundance Bush Babies, which are the main delicacies of this primate you stand 80% chances to see them where as other animals are busy sleeping such as the chimpanzees.

What to bring on night walk in Kibale forest

One doing nocturne forest walk has to put on rain jacket, a hat, have boots, long trousers, tuck them into the heavy sock which gives protection against insect bites and scratches, long-sleeved shirt and one liter of water as well applying insect repellent.
