Bwindi impenetrable national park is a gorilla park of Uganda and home to the endangered mountain gorillas, this tropical high altitude rain forest is located in far south west part of Uganda on the border of Uganda and DR.Congo. Currently it is estimated that there 1004 mountain gorillas in the Virungas, Uganda area of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park and Mgahinga Gorilla National Park that habitats up to half of the 1004 mountain gorilla total population. Apart from the mountain gorillas, Bwindi and Mgahinga also habitat big mammals such as forest elephants, buffaloes and other primate species like the chimpanzees, L’hoest monkeys, baboons, grey cheeked Mangabey, black and white colobus monkeys, blue monkeys and golden monkeys plus 25 bird species endemic to the Albert rift.

Day 1: Arrival at Entebbe and Fly to Bwindi Mountain Gorilla Park.

Day 2: Gorilla Habituation Experience

Gorilla habituation is the process by which gorillas get used to human presence and eventually these become comfortable and then they accept regular visit. Gorilla habituation experience is a 4 hour activity with a guide taking you through whole process educating you about the behavior and character of every individual gorilla. We head to the meeting point with guides and armed escorts and trackers ahead we are off to the jungle. Day 3: Gorilla Tracking and Community Eco-Tourism Projects.

Breakfast at 6:30 AM then set off for briefing at the park visitor where you will be grouped eight people per gorilla family, the forest is always live with amass wildlife, lots of bird species, colorful butterflies, different plants and tree species, the lead guide does the interpretation as he keeps communicating with the advance tracker team, who will eventually lead the group to the silver back and the entire gorilla family, according to the rules and regulations only an 1 hour is allowed for the interaction with the mountain gorillas. We carry along 2 liters drinking water, packed lunch, rain gear, sun lotion, bud spray, gloves, hiking boots, long socks, long pants and long sleeved shirts. After a wonderful experience with the mountain gorilla we return to the Lodge for refreshment then get ourselves ready to visit eco-tourism projects around Bwindi and learn about traditional medicines and agricultural practices, food, hand crafts, the Batwa pygmies and how tourism has helped them to be gainfully employed as an alternative means of survival other than hunting and gathering they did before, it role in conserving the gorilla forest. Day 4: Return Entebbe Airport Fly to Masai Mara with Optional Game drive.

After breakfast we then embark on the journey back to the Entebbe international airport to connect to Kenya’s Masai Mara game reserve through the Kisumu immigration office for clearing before proceeding to game reserve. The driver will be waiting for your transfer to the lodge; depending on the arrival time of the flight an optional game drive can be arranged. Meal plan: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner, Accommodation options: Mara Serena Safari Lodge, Kichwa Tembo Tented Camp, Sanctuary Olonana & andBateleur Camp.

Day 5: Masai Mara Game drive

Full day drive after breakfast we depart the lodge for wildlife drive in search for animals, most highly to encounter include predators such as lions, leopards, cheetahs, hippos, elephant, zebras, buffaloes, black rhinos, spotted hyenas, bat eared foxes, Masai giraffes, warthogs, jackals, baboons black stripped Thomson’s and Grant gazelles, coke’s hartebeests, impalas, topis and wildebeests. Day 6: Masai Mara walking safari and fly out

On this final day in the Masai Mara enjoy a guided bush safari walk. Accompanied by an experienced local guide on the walking safari and away from the protection of the car the walking safari will bring you closer to both flora and fauna of the Mara wilderness.
You will enjoy the untamed beauty of the Masai Mara with its picturesque acacia tree dotted hills. On the bush walk you will be accompanied by a native Masai Scouts with a vast inventory of traditional culture, Mara plant life and use in treatment and Masai folklore. All these as you track game that includes but not limited to the following, giraffe, buffalo, hyena, zebra or even lion.
At the end of the bush safari walk is a beautiful bush breakfast waiting, regain the burnt calories as you enjoy some game viewing in isolation surrounded by animals, there will be also more animals on the way back to the camp the beauty of Masai Mara. The bush safari walk is estimated to take you close to 1½ to 2 hours, we then check out and prepare to fly out for our international flight home.
