Day 1: Arrival in Entebbe International Airport.

On arrival in Uganda for our 26 days Uganda adventure vacation, you will be met by the company representative, then be transferred to your hotel in Entebbe International Airport and depending on arrival time, you can either visit the botanical garden or the Ngamba Chimpanzee Island in Lake Victoria (Africa’s largest Lake) home to orphaned and rescued chimpanzees.

Day 2: Mabamba Shoebill Birding, Kampala City Tour & Drive to Jinja.

The 26 Days Uganda adventure vacation starts with an early morning departure from the hotel to visit Mabamba for shoebill birding, while you look for the shoebill there other aquatic bird species to look out for, have lunch while conducting Kampala city tour the city that has its own character as an African capital with a mixture of both old and modern architecture buildings. Day 3: Uganda Adventure Vacation with a full day Rafting

Enjoy a full day rafting on the Nile River with this adrenaline rise water sport activity, ride the Nile rapid as you flap and swim in the Nile River. Day 4: Travel to Sipi falls on the edge of Mount Elgon

After breakfast cruise to the source of the Nile River, on this boat cruise you encounter the source of the Nile River, Mahatma Gandhi statue, lots of bird species, Nile monitor lizards, monkeys, otters that can be sighted on the shore line and the rock islands in the Nile River. After the boat cruise proceed with our Uganda adventure vacation with a drive to Sipi falls that lies on the edge of Mountain Elgon. Day 5: Uganda Adventure Vacation Sipi falls hiking

After breakfast we head out with the tour guide for Sipi falls hiking experience will take us about 3 hours and as you walk you will be able to visit the cave, follow the Sipi River as it cascades the rocks and mountain cliffs, carry along drinking water, sun lotion and a hat for protection against the hot sun. After the hiking experience you return to the lodge for break and lunch, later we do a coffee tour that takes you through the whole process of how coffee ends up on your table, that is from the garden to how coffee roasting on the stove is done then finally the aromatic hot cup you enjoy, throughout the coffee tour you participate by planting a memorial coffee seedling to pounding the roasted bean and eventually boiling to enjoy a cup of elgon arabica coffee, return to the lodge. Day 6: Travel to Kidepo Valley National Park

We travel to Kidepo Valley National Park after breakfast, there two routes you can use to reach Kidepo valley national park at the discretion of the tour guide and the road condition he will be able to advise you on the route to follow, Lunch break in enroute. Depending on the arrival time, an evening game drive could be arranged, return to the lodge for the over night. Day 7: Exploring Narus River in Kidepo Valley National Park

The Uganda Adventure Vacation on exploring Kidepo valley national park starts with an early breakfast at 6am and then depart at 7am for the game drive around the Narus river valley where you will come across large herds of Buffaloes, Elephants, Zebra and other various antelopes, also be on the lookout for the lions which would be lying somewhere in the grass or up on the various rock out crops, on a lucky day you would come across a Leopard or Cheetah hunting a Uganda kob or lying lazily in the numerous acacia trees or the figs around the Apoka area, primates in Kidepo valley include the Baboons, Patas and Vervet monkeys, after 4 hours of driving around viewing the animals, we return to the lodge for lunch and some time to review the morning photos and later on in the evening head out again for the afternoon game drive, on a good afternoon we can be able to see the nocturnal hyenas as they begin their search for food. Day 8: Exploring Kidepo River in Kidepo Valley National Park

After breakfast at the lodge or a packed one, we again head to the park for a game drive early morning, however this time we drive towards Kidepo River to check out the ostriches and also experience scenery of mountains in South Sudan in addition to the Kidepo hot springs, not only spotting out ostriches but also you will encounter various antelopes, Buffaloes and many more animals. After the game drive later in the evening we visit the Manyatta community living near Kidepo Valley National Park to experience and learn about their way of life, enjoy their traditional dance and songs, buy local community crafts. Day 9: Drive to Murchison falls National Park

Proceed with our 26 Days Uganda adventure vacation with a drive to Murchison falls national park Uganda’s largest park with a stopover for lunch in Gulu town and then proceed to Murchison Falls Park, depending on the time of arrival there is an option evening game drive. Day 10: Exploring Murchison Falls National Park

After breakfast at 6am we are off for the early morning game drive in the savannah plains of Murchison falls National Park. The morning game drive will give us chance to see the nocturnal as they head back to their den like the hyenas, enjoy the sun rise and get to see more of last evening animals and a brief stop by the hippo pool we head back to the lodge for lunch and prepare for the afternoon Boat cruise on the Nile River, during the Boat cruise you will see the crocodiles and more hippos, in addition to the other animals such as Elephants and Buffaloes as they come to the banks to drink water along the shower as they cool from the high afternoon sun, spot out lots of aquatic birds on the cliffs and finally come across Murchison falls from Bakers rock, take a brief photo shoot out here and then you are off the boat for the hike to the top of the Murchison falls, then drive back to the lodge for the overnight. Day 11: Driving to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary

After breakfast we head to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary to see the white rhinoceros, the sanctuary is on the mission of reintroducing Rhinos in Uganda since she lost the last rhino to poachers in 1986, from just four Rhinos that were donated from Disney world there has been good progress in the reproduction and with the eventual increase in the numbers the plan is to reintroduce them in their natural habitat they previously roamed. The tracking is on foot and off trail so you have to dress appropriately spend an hour viewing the rhinos, check in the Lodge and have lunch before going to the visitors center for briefing then afternoon rhino tracking experience. Day 12: Travel to Fort portal

After breakfast depart Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary and we then embark on the journey to Fort portal town with a lunch stop either en-route or at the hotel, after lunch we head for a tour of the town and the Amabere-ga-nyinnamiru caves and crater walk a few kilometers outside town.

Day 13: Exploring Fort portal

Early morning departure for Semuliki National Park after breakfast explore the hot springs and nature walk in Semliki National Park this scenic drive has many view point a long this mountainous winding road later return to the hotel for lunch and an afternoon off. Day 14: Travel to Kibale Forest National Park

Kibale forest National Park is found in the west of Uganda north of Queen Elizabeth National Park south of Lake Albert, the world well known Primate Park that hosts seven species of primates is also known as “the primate capital of the world”. The park is famous for chimpanzee tracking with over an estimated population of 1000 and over 100 in the habituated community there is no percentage chance of missing them. In addition to the chimpanzees the other primates to spot out include the colobus monkeys both black and white then the red head, L’hoest, grey checked Mangabey and many others. For birders the forest is home to the Pita and Ruwenzori turaco. After breakfast we check out and then drive to the tea plantation where we meet the guide to begin our crater tour which ends at the top of the world point where you are able to view more than one Crater Lake along the way the guide will talk about the tea plant, and the community. Day 15: Exploring Kibale Forest National Park

After breakfast you leave for the briefing at the visitor’s reception center in Kanyanchu for Chimpanzee tracking experience this is a short visit which starts at 8am with briefing and then distribution into teams of six per ranger guide and then you are off for the morning trek returning not later than midday. Different from the previous day one this day the visit is limited to one hour when you come across them. What to bring also includes Drinking water not less than 2 liters, rain gear, sun lotion, bud spray, gloves, hiking boots, long pants and long sleeved shirts, long socks.
After the tracking we return to the lodge for lunch and afternoon visit to the Bigodi swamp and ecotourism project is run by the community that live around the forest and help them to conserve the forest habitat by promoting sustainable use and reduce on habitat loss while enjoying the benefits of protecting the forest and tourism, on the walk you will be able to see other primate species that live on the forest edge and also visit the local community life to learn about their ways of life and traditional practices. Day 16: Travel to Queen Elizabeth National Park

Leave for Queen Elizabeth National Park after breakfast, in the shadows of the iconic mountains of Ruwenzori also referred to as the mountains of the moon, check in and Lunch. We begin the visit with the drive through the Katwe crater area of Queen Elizabeth National Park, this scenic drive show cases the volcanic activities which resulted in such beauty, there both dry and those filled with water, there also mammals to watch out for like Elephants, Antelopes and predators like Leopards and Lions. Day 17: Exploring Queen Elizabeth National Park

Early morning breakfast at 6am, after our breakfast we head to the kasenyi sector of the park in the open plain savannah, for the drive you will be looking for Lions, Leopards, Elephants, Buffaloes, Warthogs, Waterbucks, Kobs and Hippos in some water ponds, return to the lodge for lunch and after drive to Mweya peninsular to take the 2 hour water cruise on the channel along the banks you will see herds the of Buffaloes, Elephants, Hippos, Crocodiles, different water birds, return to the lodge for the overnight. Meals plan: Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner and Accommodation: Bush Lodge/Enganzi Lodge

Day 18: Travel to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest

After breakfast we embark on a 2 hour journey to the Ishasha part of Queen Elizabeth National Park in search of tree climbing lions as you proceed to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, these lions have adapted going up the figs or acacia trees in this region, there several reasons advanced for this behavior, one being an adaptation that has carried on from generation to generation, it is also believed they do climb because of the heat and avoiding the biting insects on the ground, they normally climb during the high sun, cause it is cool up in the tree, but it may also be a hunting tactic cause during this time they able to scan and monitor prey movements, due to the bird eye view, after the game drive and lunch in the area, drive to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. Day 19: Exploring Bwindi Impenetrable forest

Bwindi Mountain Gorilla trekking experience begins with an early morning breakfast at 6:30 AM then set off for briefing at the park visitor’s center where you will be grouped eight people per gorilla family, encounter the hike with drinking water, lunch, rain gear, sun lotion, bud spray, gloves, hiking boots, long socks, long pants and long sleeved shirts Joined by a ranger guide and escorts you head to the forest. The duration of this experience is normally 1 hour when you find the gorilla family you are assigned too, After a wonderful experience with the mountain gorilla we return to the Lodge, depending on the time you return from the forest and energy levels you can relax or visit community eco-tourism projects around Bwindi forest, to learn about traditional medicines and agricultural practices, food, hand crafts, the Batwa pygmies and the role of tourism in conserving the gorilla forest. Day 20: Travel to Mgahinga Gorilla National Park

Mgahinga Gorilla National Park is the other park in Uganda where the endangered mountain gorillas are found, Mgahinga Gorilla Park is home to two habituated families, it lies on the border with Rwanda and Congo and in addition to the gorillas it also has the Golden monkeys. The three extinct volcanoes of Sabinyo, Muhavura and Mgahinga are found in the park these three offer good hiking experiences for anyone interested in mountain climbing, there is also the Garama cave which was the palace of the Batwa pygmies’ leadership when they still occupied the forest as their home. These forest people were the guardians of the forest before it was gazetted as a National park, they initially lived by hunting and gathering, since they were relocated they are now engaged in the other income generating activities and only access the forest for herbs and medicinal plants in Mgahinga park there mammals like forest Elephants, Buffaloes and other antelopes, the parks is also surrounded by volcanic cones which are farmed. Day 21: Exploring Mgahinga Gorilla National Park

Early morning departure after breakfast for the briefing center you head out to the forest in search of the Golden Monkeys. This specie of monkey is found in the bamboo zone of the high altitude mountain forest, referred to golden monkeys due the golden color of their fur very clear when the sun reflect on them, the tracking take about 3-4 hours, an hour with them, Breakfast time is 6am, thereafter drive to the park headquarters for the briefing we need to carry drinking water, lunch , rain gear, sun lotion, bud spray, gloves, hiking boots, long pants and sleeved shirts, long socks and after return to the lodge. Day 22: Travel to Lake Bunyonyi

Day 23: Exploring Lake Bunyonyi

After morning breakfast, get ready for a boat ride to some of the islands on Lake Bunyonyi and for anyone interested in Birds there plenty to spot such as African Skimmer, Striated Heron, African Spoonbill, Water Thick-knee, Three-banded Plover, Marsh, Green, Wood and Common Sandpiper, Gray-headed Gull, Plain Martin Lesser Swamp-Warbler and Yellow-billed Ox-pecker as you enjoy the boat ride on lake Bunyonyi. Day 24: Travel to Lake Mburo National Park

Drive to Lake Mburo National Park after breakfast travel through one of the cattle corridors of Uganda, here you find the most impressive Ankole long horned cattle which is most treasured possession of the tribe close to the park, the cow horns can span up to a meter wide and as much as 15 centimeters in diameter, in different shapes, both cows and bulls posses these long horns. Arrive at the lodge for lunch and check in and then in the afternoon go on the first game drive and return late evening. Day 25: Exploring Lake Mburo National Park

After breakfast you set off for the morning game drive to watch the animals as they go about feeding, more zebras, topi antelopes, impalas, elands, giraffes, waterbucks, bush bucks, buffaloes, warthogs, baboons, vervet monkeys, birds and if lucky leopards and hyenas as they return to their den, after the game drive you return to the lodge and have lunch and in the afternoon prepare for the boat cruise on the lake for the hippos, crocodiles and water birds the cruise is 1½ hour and after return to the lodge. Day 26: Travel to Entebbe International Airport

After a cup of coffee we drive to the park to be there by 6.30 am, we meet the armed ranger guide at the park office and then drive to a starting point on the game track. The walking safari will bring you close to the animals such as zebras, topi antelopes, impalas, elands, giraffes, waterbucks, bush bucks, buffaloes, warthogs, baboons and vervet monkeys you will visit some water ponds to watch the hippos, you walk for close to 2½hours, the walk also gives you an opportunity to get nice photos of the animals and after the walk we head for the lodge for breakfast and then depart for Kampala making a stop at the Equator Line for lunch and shopping for gifts and souvenir.
