ITINERARY FOR WILDLIFE DISCOVERY ACROSS UGANDA AND KENYA

Day 1 Wildlife Safaris to Uganda and Kenya: Arrival at Entebbe Airport-Kampala
Upon arrival at the airport, you will be warmly welcomed by our guide who will then take you to Serena Kampala Hotel (High end) or Cassia Lodge (Mid range) or Forest Cottages Kampala (Budget end) for an overnight and dinner. Meal plan Dinner

Day 2 Wildlife Safaris to Uganda and Kenya: Kampala-Lake Mburo NP (Travel Time 4 hrs)
Morning drive to Lake Mburo National park with a stopover at the Equator crossing line in Masaka, arriving in the afternoon ready for your lunch at the Lodge, a peaceful and exclusive retreat in Lake Mburo National Park. Afternoon boat cruise amidst the Hippos is amazing. A sun down game drive for your rewarding. Day 3 Wildlife Safaris to Uganda and Kenya: Lake Mburo–Bwindi (Travel Time +5 hrs)
Early morning Bush walk for 2 hours to see the wildlife at a close quarter including the Zebras, Impala, Eland, Buffalo, Oribi, Defassa Waterbuck thereafter drive heading to Mbarara with a visit to Igongo Cultural village this is more rewarding and amazing as you visit the Ankole museum. Lunch break is made at Agip Motel Mbarara. After lunch, drive to Bwindi impenetrable national park. This is the lushest highland rain forest on earth, filled with primates and exotic birds, valleys, hilltops and papyrus swamps. Day 4 Wildlife Discovery across Uganda and Kenya: Bwindi Gorilla Trekking
Begin the day with breakfast ready for trekking, which begins at 8:00AM with a briefing from the UWA staff. Ensure to carry along with you rain jacket, drinking water, snacks, jungle boots etc The guides will lead you inside the jungle to see the shy Primates for a group you have been booked for. Do not forget to take your lunch boxes and all the necessary gear to track the rare Mountain Gorilla, perhaps one of the most exciting wildlife experiences on earth. The tracking may take between 2 and 6 hours but it’s well worth the effort. The afternoon is spent on a village walk. The Buhoma Village Walk gives you a great opportunity to see how the people surrounding Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. It also is a great way to support the local community in a direct way. The Walk begins with your guide at Buhoma Community Rest Camp and is most informative, rewarding to the average visitor. It will amaze you how resourceful the local people are as you see and learn their ways. Day 5 Wildlife Safaris to Uganda and Kenya: Bwindi-Kampala (Travel Time +8 hrs)
After your morning breakfast, drive back to Kampala using Kasese-Fort Portal road via Queen Elizabeth National Park for enroute game viewing if your lucky you may spot the Elephants, Antelopes and the Warthogs. A stop over at the Equator line in Kasese. Enjoy the winding scenery of the foot hills of Mt. Rwenzori arriving in Fort Portal for lunch thereafter continue to Kampala. Day 6: Kampala-in to Kenya Lake Nakuru (Travel Time +8 hrs)
Today early morning is dedicated at your convenience driving through major towns of Uganda in to Kenya via Jinja. Arriving at the border post on time for immigration, proceed to Lake Nakuru National Park situated in the Rift Valley Region. From the North to the South of Kenya the valley is lined with a series of freshwater and soda based volcanic lakes. Arrive, check-in at your lodge and spend the evening at leisure. Day 7 Wildlife Discovery across Uganda and Kenya: Lake Nakuru

After breakfast, depart for the world famous Masai Mara National Reserve. Arrive at your camp for check-in and have lunch. The camp blends in perfectly with its surrounding hillside landscape. The accent here is on the Masai people and the wealth of wildlife, Bird life, and natural flora to be found in the fabled Masai Mara Game Reserve. Enjoy an afternoon 16:00hrs game drive around the world famous Masai Mara. Day 9 Wildlife Safaris to Uganda and Kenya: Masai Mara
Full day spent in the Masai Mara with early morning 06:30hrs and afternoon 16:00hrs game drives. All meals and overnight stay at the Tipilikwani Mara Camp (High end) or Sarova Mara Game Camp (mid range) or Mara Leisure Camp (Budget end) Meal plan: breakfast, Lunch and Dinner
Masai Mara offers an absolutely unique variety of animals. The reason is that this hilly region is both humid and fertile, and is crossed by the Mara and Talek rivers, full of crocodiles and hippos. The abundance of water and excellent availability of food are the reasons why the Masai Mara, which in fact is a continuation of the Tanzanian Serengeti National Park, has the greatest population of wild animals in the whole of Africa. There is a particularly dramatic “spectacle” from July to October, the annual migration of huge herds of Gnus and zebras. Predators such as Hyenas, Jackals, Leopards and Lions of course, closely follow these herds. Gigantic herds of over 200 buffaloes can also be observed. What could be more uplifting than an early morning safari in a hot air balloon flying over the vast plains of Africa? Witness an African sunrise as a plethora of wildlife roam the land beneath you. At the end of the flight you land on the plains, in the midst of this enchanting savannah a champagne breakfast is laid out with the mouth watering aroma of sausages, eggs, and bacon, sizzling over a charcoal fire. Day 10 Wildlife Safaris in Uganda and Kenya: Masai Mara–Nairobi (Travel Time +6 hrs)
Have breakfast at the camp and depart for Nairobi, Kenya’s most colorful city from here you will proceed to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your onward flight (B) End of Service

  • Masai Village Visit–Masai Mara
    The traditional Masai village is called a Manyatta and consists of a number of small cow dung made huts with thatched roofs. The huts are placed in a circle with livestock in the middle and a thick thorny fence for protection against the nightly predators. First, they welcome you with some chanting. They also proceed to show how high they can jump and get you try jumping higher than them. With the assistance of a local Masai chief, you take the informative tour around the “Manyatta”, building fires without matches, how to make bracelets and necklaces with beeds and other exciting innovative experiences.

    Balloon Safari–Masai Mara
    Hot air balloon taking off in the beautiful early morning, you drift above the browsing game and have tremendous opportunities for unusual photographs. What could be more uplifting than an early morning safari in a hot air balloon flying over the vast plains of Africa, witness an African sunrise as a plethora of wildlife roam the land beneath you.
